me awkwardly puttering about my very fancy dirt bunker. Soo is a filmmaker/artist/photographer, you can check her out @filmbysoomina

a.k.a dirt spindle.

I am a ceramics based artist in East Vancouver. BUt, sometimes you can find me on Granville Island squinting and sculpting tiny teeth behind the counter at The Kingsmill Studio Pottery Shop.

I graduated from Emily Carr University some years ago with a Bachelors of Farting Arts with a focus in things ceramics related. I mean, I can do other things too I promise. Haha. (Like, I’m really good at smoking & bicycling at the same time while carrying a backpack full of power tools and groceries). Before, that I studied stagecraft & sculpture in Quebec.

Besides pottery, I sometimes work as a studio assistant (primarily weaving strange massive things no one in their right mind should be weaving with)

Besides this way of life as a perpetuating myth of a self inflicted overworked- under slept- living in a moldy basement with no sunlight but with delightful wafts of kiln fumes artist (too busy! slow the heck down! touch some grass!) I have an overwhelming passion for goats, cabbages & potatoes.

Wouldn’t it be cool to make sculptures just for goats to climb and enjoy? Their magnificent beards blowing in the wind poised atop a huge smiling ceramic blob named bert.

Anyways, if you are here you are helping this lil’ weirdo achieve “the dream” of making art for a living.
